The American Association of Orthodontists recommends child see a orthodontist by age 7. Some children require treatment (such as Phase I or interceptive) at age 7, some have significant issues that require intervention – if left unattended to will only worsen and become more difficult to treat or even cause permanent issues. If there is an issue, we will time treatment to the appropriate time. No referral is necessary from your children’s dentist, so please schedule a free consultation today.

Many children start treatment during their teens with braces or Invisalign. If dental development is far enough along Invisalign may be an option. We also have “hybrid” treatment options available, that utilize traditional orthodontic appliances then switch over to clear aligners to complete treatment. There are many options available, things are not the same!

American Board of Orthodontists Certified
Dr. Wirant is a Board Certified orthodontist. To become board certified one has to pass a clinical and written exam. Less than 30% of orthodontists become certified. An orthodontist is a specialist who attended an advanced program after dental school to become an expert in treating orthodontic issues. The American Board of Orthodontics is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.

And that makes it easier and more enjoyable to obtain that beautiful healthy smile.

Truly amazing technology allowing us to see in fantastic 3D detail from any angle the teeth and jaws. We are one of the few orthodontists with this capability since 2013 and have found difficult problems and have been able to better diagnose and treat many patients with an excellent level of care that otherwise would be impossible without this 3D ability.
